Motorola would be one of the earliest adopter as they are shipping every phones with plain vanilla android as found in Nexus devices.

Other manufacturer such as Samsung, HTC and Sony also committed on the release but might be on a different time schedule as their Android is extensively skinned. Expect to see the release of Lollipon from these manufacturer in December or even early 2015.

Material Design would be central in the upcoming weeks as Apps builder will release updates for their apps as shown already in the latest Gmail app. Expect major apps updates to be available in the coming days or weeks as we wait for the Lollipop to be available for every manufacturer to push. Apps transitions is central in the Material Design which will make loading and closing apps smoother and faster while implying bolder graphics.

Other main feature in Lollipop is the redesigned notification center and notification screen with new gesture such as double tap or slide on notifications would be one of the main things to see from manufacturer like Samsung and Sony who heavily skinned their androids. Each of these manufacturer would try to differentiate their interface from other android running mobile devices and it seems like the sky is the limit for now.
