Xiaomi's Mi Note and Mi Note Pro - Flagship for both 2014 and 2015

Xiaomi's production line seem as never ending with at least a device in every other month and the trend is still continuing coming into 2015. Today mark the first of many Xiaomi product launches for 2015 and they really started the year with a bang. The company marketing arm have started their campaign for this year's first launch even as early as last month with their teaser on every social media available.

The launch for today mark a unique point where both devices are flagship in their own capacity and time frame. The Mi Note and Mi Note Pro share a distinct flagship name but from a different breed where one is the last of its kind and the other one is the first of another. The timing of the launch seems to be at the exact time and also mark a new era for devices moving into the 2015. Lets look at both of these flagship phone and see why one would be the best for 2014 and the other one is the best coming to 2015.

We are a fan of what Android started with their Lollipop update and the ability to support 64 bit, opened a whole new world of flagship devices for the future. Xiaomi understand that Lollipop is fairly new and still having their shortcoming, thus the relevant launch for a phone with the highest non 64 bit SoC is still very high. Xiaomi also do not want to be left out from the 64 bit race coming into the 2015 where almost every other phone manufacturer are rushing in to.

With both phone are very much relevant with the current trend, we would not be able to say which is better so we let you as the reader decide for yourself

Mi Note
This phablet was intentionally built to rival Apple 6 plus, something that most people would clearly see with almost all their flagship are built with iphone in mind. The new Mi Note is a direct result of that, with an almost identical size to Iphone 6 Plus, Xiaomi try to up the ante with a slight difference in build material and slimmer body. This phone spot a bigger 5.7 inch 1080p screen source from sharp, gorilla glass on the front and back with metal casing. As for the heart of this phone, Xiaomi chose the top of the line Snapdragon 801 processor, 3 GB RAM and 3000 mAh battery. This is quite a beautiful phone with some nice flagship specification but with a lower price point. Mi Note would be available in China for 2,299 Yuan ($370 USD), almost a third of the iphone 6 plus price.

Mi Note Pro
This phablet on the other hand spot all the 2015 current flagship specification within the same similar body. The same build are planted with a beast Snapdragon 810 64 bit processor, 4 GB RAM and 2k 5.7 inch display source from Sharp. With this phone, Xiaomi have in the line a phone that would be able to push the boundaries once Lollipop is available. This, in our view could be the best purchase around looking at the available hardware used.

In short, Xiaomi understand that there is always a need for high end non 64 bit system as the current 64 bit support are still in infancy but there are playing the safe route with the unveiling of a "real" 2015 flagship for those who want the capability for future upgrade. Both of these phones are the real deal and choosing from these two will not be an easy task.
