Whatsapp web is available and 3rd party apps are banned

Whatsapp have launched the latest way of connecting to your contacts with the availability of Whatsapp web service. This new service extend the availability of Whatsapp to almost every known system available currently. "Today, for the first time, millions of you will have the ability to use WhatsApp on your web browser. Our web client is simply an extension of your phone: the web browser mirrors conversations and messages from your mobile device -- this means all of your messages still live on your phone." as posted on the Whatsapp Blog posting on 21st January.

In the same blog posting, Whatsapp also show how to use the new service and why apple IOS will not be able to use the web service on their iphone or ipad. "To connect your web browser to your WhatsApp client, simply open https://web.whatsapp.com in your Google Chrome browser. You will see a QR code --- scan the code inside of WhatsApp, and you’re ready to go. You have now paired WhatsApp on your phone with the WhatsApp web client. Your phone needs to stay connected to the internet for our web client to work, and please make sure to install the latest version of WhatsApp on your phone. Unfortunately for now, we will not be able to provide web client to our iOS users due to Apple platform limitations."

Meanwhile, users of 3rd party whatsapp client are reportedly banned by Whatsapp around the world in line with Whatsapp crack down on 3rd party client users. The banned can last up to 24 hours for each detected account running third party apps such as Whatsapp plus. Most of this 3rd party clients are not found in the official Android Play store and have to be sideloaded or installed from a 3rd party source and that would means only a limited percentage of Whatsapp users are affected from this banned

This banned is confirmed by Whatsapp In their latest FAQ found on the official Whatsapp page that stated

WhatsApp Plus is an application that was not developed by WhatsApp, nor is it authorized by WhatsApp. The developers of WhatsApp Plus have no relationship to WhatsApp, and we do not support WhatsApp Plus. Please be aware that WhatsApp Plus contains source code which WhatsApp cannot guarantee as safe and that your private information is potentially being passed to 3rd parties without your knowledge or authorization.
Please uninstall your application and install an authorized version of WhatsApp from our website or Google Play. After the 24 hour count down ends you will be able to use WhatsApp.
