After the major announcement of Huawie newest flagship in the form of P8 and the P8 Max, another smaller sibling appear in announced in the P8 Lite. It's now available in Europe and would be available in many other countries later this year. This smallest sibling might not be getting the limelight as the other P8s but this smart phone still would make a good buy just by looking at the specs offered.
P8 Lite as the name suggested is the lower model of Huawei P8 but the difference are only at the internal hardware with P8 Lite still retains the unibody and the build quality that you could expect from a flagship devices. In a glance, we could tell that this phone would be having a similar performance as the Honor 4x / Honor 4c as it shares the same internal hardware.
The biggest difference between Huawei P8 Lite and the other 2 Honor is the Android version that it is shipped with where both Honor still using EMUI 3.0 on KitKat while P8 Lite is already on EMUI 3.1 with Lollipop. We can expect some features from the flagship P8 to be brought over to this P8 Lite because it share the same EMUI version.
Huawei P8 build quality is shown on the P8 Lite with the similar unibody metal chassis, dual tone metal finishing (available in gold and black), slimmer body (only 7.7mm) and all these at only 143 grams.
On the pricing side, the P8 Lite is higher at around $297 USD if we took European pricing as a benchmark and this would deter most interested buyer as the most expensive Honor 4x is only at $173 USD. Please do bear in mind that the pricing might not be totally accurate because of the exchange rate and also the proximity of Malaysia to China.

If the retail price for this smartphone is similar with our European friends that this might not become a high selling model because there are multiple similar smartphones with much lower pricing or even at half the price. We still unsure if this model would be available in Malaysia officially but we do expect it to be arriving very soon.
