Xiaomi Mi4 FDD LTE is coming while rumour of Mi5 launch looming

Xiaomi Mi4, one of the most powerful smartphone in 2014 will be launched with FDD LTE next week, opening the international availability window. Xiaomi Mi4 was first launched as 3G and TDD LTE only unit that let to limited availability around the world including Malaysia. Even with non FDD LTE connection, importer still bringing in the unit as it is one of the most sought after phone in the market.

Now, this may change with the FDD model will be launch in China on 16th December as reported by multiple news sources. The FDD model for Unicorn China will be the biggest news for all Xiaomi fans around the world once the importer start pouring those device trough out the world. It may sound like your normal news but here where the twist start. Xiaomi reportedly to be launching a new phone model in CES 2015 and if you read the report, it might be the latest Xiaomi Mi5.

Allegedly to be running on the latest Snapdragon 810, Xiaomi Mi5 will be the most anticipated mobile phone in 2015. Xiaomi is known for making powerful hardware with reasonable price, would want to continue the trend with their latest Mi5. If the report are to be believed, Xiaomi will launch the Snapdragon 810 powered Mi5 at CES 2015 next January, only a month different from their Mi4 FDD launch.

Would this be a good strategy by Xiaomi?, only time will tell, but releasing the last year most anticipated phone close to the rumoured launching of their next flagship will surely make a dent in the excitements. There is no official news coming out regarding Mi5 and don't be surprised if the phone for CES 2015 might only be Mi4 FDD model.
