The classic as the name suggested is a classic blackberry design phone that run the latest BB10 operating system. Before BlackBerry Classic, Two other QWERTY devices was launch earlier that is the Q10 and Passport. The oldest of all the three device here, Q10 would be lacking in the hardware department given that it was launched in early 2013. Q10 is still the lightest of all and that could still be a deciding factor where most Blackberry users have a second device and the extra weight is negligible.

Launched in the second half of 2014 with the latest technology available, the passport seems as a device that try to have both big touch screen and qwerty keypad but lack personality. Password tried to be the best for both world but that created a new problem, the sheer size. It is not something you could handle comfortably with a single hand thus making this device inaccessible at certain condition. The speedy launch of apps make is a big help where both native and Android apps performed flawlessly.

The latest device that sport a QWERT keypad but surprisingly still using the same chip as the Q10 that was launched a year earlier. The design of this device exactly what users of blackberry loved and that could actually be the turning point for users to stick to blackberry. Slightly bigger and heavier than the Q10, it packs an extra few centimeter of screen size that make the device looks well designed and beautiful. Placement of keypad and the trackball in the Classic remind everyone of how simple it is to type on a Blackberry. Where it excel in the design factor, it lacks in the hardware shown every time when users load any Android app and that could be it's achilles heel.
Our conclusion
If we just look at the hardware spec alone, the Passport seems to have the biggest edge thanks to the latest Snapdragon chip but BB10 is a well optimized system that it doesn't need the extra power to excel. Android apps might need the extra processing power to do multimedia application but most Blackberry users are aware that Blackberry's strength is other but multimedia. BB Classic in the other hand fits nicely between the huge Passport and Q10's small screen to actually become the best device to provide the full Blackberry experience. Blackberry Classic could be the best device here if only they provide the latest chip and not the 2012's chip. Again, it is back to user preference where the classic excel in the size and usability but lacking in the hardware department could be the deciding factor here.
Blackberry still have enough fan base that the Canadian company would hope to bring back the company to the forefront. Even with Android app support on BB10, the fate of blackberry still are bleak year after year. Maybe by going back to what user loved about BlackBerry, the company can start to be successful again and we can only hope that this would help the ailing company.
