Samsung's Lollipop update is slowly available in some country from early December and now it has already hit Malaysia on the Galaxy S5. This is Samsung's own way of updates where updates are released based on geographical location. Yesterday, the official update for Galaxy S5 build number G900FDXXU1BNL9 for Malaysia started to be available and users are slowly prompt for the update.

The Lollipop update bring a host of enhancement that comes together with official Lollipop but with a heavy customization through Samsung's own TouchWiz. There is new notification bar, card base multitask and other Lollipop on top of the familiar TouchWiz home screen and menu. If you own a Samsung, you probably love the TouchWiz over stock Android and this update still feels like your normal TouchWiz system even with the Lollipop update.

The new firmware is available through OTA update but users of Galaxy S5 can still download the firmware through Samsung KIES and install the update manually. Other country that was also available on the same day was Russia after the initial Europe release.  If you own a Samsung Galaxy S5 you can always do a manual update check from Setting >> About Phone >> Software Update.
