Huawei G Play Mini - CHC-U01 EMUI 3.1 Official update files (Asia Pacific)

* update : This update file is meant for Open and International build (C900) that would means any region build would be able to use this file but please bear in mind that once install your phone build would follow asia pacific region moving forward. You can download the Verlist to check your build

Huawei G Play Mini is another phone that share the same internal as Honor 4C but with a different Product ID. Not just the ID is different, it is also being sold only at selected market as Huawei. We didn't have this phone at our local market and we are only aware of this phone when a reader ask about the update that we posted for Honor 4C.



Now that we know there is such phone and there are readers of this blog that own one, we would list the update whenever we knew of its existence. Below is the list of update files available but please do make sure that the CUST ID (Cxx) is similar to your current build before any update is installed. We have to highlight here that since we don't have any available unit in our market, we cant be much help if you are facing any issue.

CHC-U01 C636B320 - Asia Pacific

Update prerequisite
1.  Make sure all your app are moved to internal memory and would fit everything inside.
2. If somehow you cant fit all your app in internal memory, please do uninstall apps that use a lot of free space.
3. Make sure you have at least 1GB of free space in your internal memory after all your apps are moved.
4. backup your data either to SDCard or to Hisuite (Computer)

How to update
1. Download the update file to a PC according to your region (CUST ID)
2. Extract the update file  in Your PC and copy out the update.app file
3. Plug in your device to the PC via USB cable
4. Create "dload" folder on your SD Card and copy the Update.app in to it. (using pc explorer)
4. Plug out the phone and Open EMUI updater --> Chose Local Update
5. Install and reboot your phone (you should be updated to Android 5.1 now with EMUI 3.1)

Your phone will be very sluggish for a while (few minutes to hours) because Android would need to reinstall all your apps again one by one. This installation would include all pre-installed system apps thus even if you don't have any apps installed it still be having the same issue.
