Samsung Galaxy Note 4 S-LTE - The first Snapdragon 810 Octa-core 64 bit to be available in January

Just as what we've been reported earlier in this blog, Snapdragon 810 powered device will start to see the light of day in January. The first smartphone to be launch with the SoC is the Korean's exclusive Samsung Galaxy Note 4 S-LTE. This will be this first phone available with the Snapdragon 810 in the world even if this phone would only be exclusive to Korean Market.

Samsung seems to try to be the first on the block with the latest Snapdragon 810 and that actually shows as this is the third version available for Samsung Note 4. The first two version was powered by the older Snapdragon 805 (quad core Krait 450) and Samsung's own Exynos 5433 (Octa core A53+A57). Just like the previous two version, the phone specification remain the same for all three except the SoC.

Another big difference is the support of Cat 9 LTE that came together with Snapdragon 810, where if the network allow, can reach up to 450Mpbs speed. Snapdragon 810 is the first high end 64 bit SoC by Qualcomm that integrate four Cortex A53 core with Four Cortex A57 core in  big.LITTLE configuration. The biggest difference between Snapdragon 810 and the Exynos 5433 is the GPU where Snapdragon will use the latest Adreno chip available.

It remains to be seen if this will be the phone to beat in benchmark test as it is still not available and if so,it is still exclusive for south korean domestic market. As of now, there is no indication if this specification would be available globally but you can rest assured we will update this as news start pouring in after the official availability.

2015 will surely be a big year for Android devices around the world and would be the biggest ever change to date for Android. Happy new year everyone!!
